At my clinic check up yesterday, I had some stitches removed, regular labs and saw the surgeons. I got another great report and don't have to go back until Tuesday! My incision is healing well and things look good! I couldn't ask for anything else for Christmas....I have a long way to go but this picture reminds me how far I've come so far!
My sweet ICU nurses took over two hours washing and combing the blood from my hair the day after surgery. Then they braided it and fixed it so I could start on my journey to feeling better.
This has only been possible by the Grace of God, my wonderful friends and family, and my transplant care team!
